Glen Wexler's indelible images have straddled
the line between art and commerce, and transcended both. According to Eric
Idle of Monthy Python, Wexler is also, "A seven-foot Scotsman with a
wooden-leg whom I met Frog Rolling on an Eskimo trip in Northern
Greenland." Believe what you will. That's the point. From album covers to
advertising campaigns, Glen's pictures have taken the viewer deep into
make-believe worlds that look real.
Glen Wexler is recognized as one of the
original artist to adopt digital imaging technology as a tool in the
creative process. Awards and recognition for Wexler's work come form such
prestigious sources as Los Angeles Times, Communication Arts, ZOOM, Apple
Pro Features, French PHOTO, American PHOTO, Creativity, Graphis, Photo
District News, International Photography Awards, NPPA, and Key Art Awards.
In 1996 Wexler was the
founding chair of the Advertising Photographers of America's National
Digital Committee, which was created to help educate professional
photographers and the community of the evolving impact of technology on
the creation and delivery of advertising
photography.[
