THE ONE &
ONLY ITEM SHOW
is a member's only program.
This is one of the fun
projects that gives our members a break from the routines of commercial
photography.
For the past 9 years, ASMP/OVC members are assigned the same item to
photograph. Past Items have included a beach ball, t-shirt, a 12" square of aluminum
foil, pizza box tripod, and a church-key (the old-time beer bottle/can opener).

Call for Entries: One Item
Show 2008
Our communities have really come to expect a great show from us. Over the
last several years the One and Only Item show has been well attended and
has brought the quality and comedy of our chapter directly to all of our
communities. Please join us again this year to help us show off our talent
and to get involved in a stimulating, or for some of us, a mind numbing
project that will help to promote ASMP and our local talent.
Item: 2 inch clear packing tape. That's right, Wrap it, Stick it and
Shoot it and you got yourself and entry to the One and Only Item Show.
Restrictions: Item must appear in photograph. Depending on how you
think about this, it might not actually be a restriction.
Entries: unlimited number; each must be framed and ready to hang
with wire attached. Let's do our best to make sure Wilbur doesn't have
more than One Entry this year. The more we submit, the less of Wilbur's
work we have to look at.
Drop Dead Due Date: November 28, 2007. Here's an idea, how about
bringing your finished piece to the Photoshop Workshop (November 8-9). No
postage, No Travel, No hassle, Just hand this year's winner over to Wilbur
while you photoshop with him.
