ASMP OHIO VALLEY WEBSITE PORTFOLIO PAGES

The Ohio Valley Chapter board has approved the following policy & fees for a Portfolio Page:

• Only General members in good standing may have a Portfolio Page on the ASMP/OHV website.
• You agree to the "Photographer’s Promise" listed below.
• Set-up Cost: FREE!
• All images must be supplied in digital format.

Three images are allowed on a page. Format Images no larger than 300 pixels on the long dimension. Save as a JPG with a of high quality level. Save each of your images using your last name & numbers 1,2,3 such as: yourname2.jpg.

Send pre-formatted images by e-mail to webmaster@ASMPovc.org.

Once your images are received, we will capture your national listing information and use it to create your page on this site.

PHOTOGRAPHER’S PLEDGE

I am a General member in good standing of the Ohio Valley Chapter of the American Society of Media Photographers, Inc. (ASMP). I want to make use of the internet website run by ASMP/OVC to promote myself for business and professional purposes.

ASMP is willing to make a place on the Website available to me for those purposes, based on the following conditions, assurances and promises:

• I am the sole owner of the copyright to any photograph that I place on the Website If there is a joint copyright to any photograph that I place on the Website, the other joint copyright owner or owners have signed or will sign their own document in the same form as this. No photograph that I place on the Website infringes anyone else’s copyright, and I have the legal right to place any image on the Website that I may submit for placement.
  No photograph that I place on the Website infringes anyone else’s trademark or other intellectual property.

• I understand that my placement of photographs on the Website for self-promotion may constitute purposes of trade or advertising and therefore requires model releases in order to avoid the risk of violating the subject’s rights of privacy and/or publicity. Because of that, I have a valid release signed by every recognizable person in every photograph that I place on the Website and will make said release available to if requested.

• No photograph that I place on the Website casts any person or thing in a false or negative light.

• I understand that my placement of photographs on the Website could cause ASMP to be subjected to legal claims or liability, that defending those claims could be very costly, and that even if ASMP were not found to be liable, ASMP could have substantial expenses. I therefore promise to indemnify ASMP (including its chapters, its officers, its directors, its staff, and its agents and contractors) against any claims, expenses or liabilities to which it might be exposed by reason of placing any of my photographs on the Website; I promise to hold ASMP harmless against such things; and I promise to defend ASMP against them.

• Because of such possible problems as described above, I give ASMP the right to remove or refuse to place any photograph of mine on the Website that it believes or has reason to believe will cause such problems for ASMP.

• I will not hold ASMP responsible for any original photographs that I may submit to ASMP or others as part of the process of having my photographs placed on the Website.

• I have all legal rights and powers needed to give the statements, assurances and commitments in this document and to sign it as a validly executed, legal instrument. I shall be binding on me and on my heirs, executors and assigns.

By ordering a portfolio page on this website, I am agreeing to the terms and conditions stated above.
